Another thing that’s important to do is stay current with your female exams and routine checkups. Abnormal thyroid hormones and low levels of vitamin D (anemia) can also have a negative impact on the health of your hair. If your hair loss happens gradually, it can difficult to tell if you’re losing hair. Instead, your scalp may be more visible or your ponytail may not be as thick. If you’re not sure, ask your stylist that you go to regularly if they notice any differences. This is particularly important for women experiencing hair in areas you can’t see like the top of the scalp.
